HI EVERYONE! I’m following this diet right now and I can assure you – it works! Note that if you eat anything extra (like only one piece of chewing gum) this diet will have no effect… It isn’t that hard – I’m at my 3rd day and I don’t even get hungry. This is a great diet to follow as it is not a crash diet, but a diet that’ll change your metabolism and you won’t put any weight on for at least 2 years. Due to the length of this diet, it is recommended that you plan it so that you do not have any big events planned during your next 13 days.
The best starting time is on a Sunday, which only gives you one miserable weekend. This allows you to lose min 9kg, only if it is done strictly. From the 14th day you can start eating normally again, without putting on weight for three years, because the diet has altered your metabolism.
Eat your whole-wheat bread with only a scraping of margarine.
Please note that you have to drink a minimum of two liters of water per day. The purpose of this diet is to change your metabolism, with the result that after this diet you can eat normally again. Please note that this is not a traditional crash diet, but diet to change your metabolism-digestion as it continues working after 13 days. If this diet is followed in a strict manner, you should lose all excess body fat, between 9kg – 20kg. This diet must be followed for 13 days – no longer and no less.
If during the 13 days you consume 1 beer, 1 glass of wine, 1 piece of chewing gum or any extra food, you might as well stop the diet, because it becomes pointless and the diet will have no effect in this case. You may try again after 3 months.
If you have followed this diet perfectly for 13 days, you must not repeat it under any circumstances before 12 months have passed. It is recommended that this diet is repeated every 2 years if so required.

NO SUBSTITUTING OF ANYTHING. IF YOU CANNOT EAT MEAT OR EGGS OR WHATEVER, THIS DIET IS NOT FOR YOU. SUBSTITUTING FOODS CAN MESS UP THE ENTIRE GOAL OF SPEEDING UP THE METABOLISM.

I also want to fast as well, so can I combine breakfast and lunch in the morning to start my fast which at the moment starts at about 5am and then break fast at 6pm with the dinner? No, rather have water when you feel hungry, most of the time, your body is thirsty not hungry and water you can never have enough of. You can ONLY have as much as you like where it says as much as you like. For instance, 2 boiled eggs & spinach…as much spinach as you like…

This diet does work. And is very cheap compare to other diet. I am in day 8 and I have lost 5 kg already. As long as u keep to the diet u won’t have to worry.

Why can’t you use chilli, garlic and ginger etc to make food taste better – they all increase metabolism and have no carb value? Also consider swapping plain ham for Parma etc.

Only in the morning, just remember your body needs to adjust. You only need a portion of food the size of your hand palm (eg. steak) and as much salad as you want, to function properly…just give sufficient time for your brain to speak to your body. Most of the time your body is thirsty, have to big glasses of water before your meal, about 15 minutes or so…you’ll see you won’t be able to eat too much. Good luck.

Smoking itself, slows your metabolism…kick that habit! I did, after 15 years of smoking about 20 to 30 each day…feel so much better in the mornings… Food tastes so much better, all you need to actually kick the habit is will power, if you want to … you can!!!

Hi there. There are many variations of this diet. Some swop lunch and dinner. Others say just Steak for that meal while some say Steak, Green salad and fruit. It is confusing… My mom had celery and rocket and cress in her green salad and even ate cooked tenderstem broccoli and asparagus when she had “green salad” and has lost 5kg/8 lbs after the first week. She also had chicken skin with her chicken and still losing… I’m just trying to find the pure plan of this diet… Also, can I have black tea (caffeine free/caffeinated) instead of black coffee? Hi I did try the 13 day diet a few months back and I stopped on day 7 due to a function I didn’t knw abt , bt I must say I did loose weight. Me and my boyfriend started the diet 2day, decided to stay together for the 13days so dat we will be able to stick to the diet and motivate each other with some exercises involved. I have look at different sites abt da diet and i’m a bit confused.
1.some say no salt and some say salt can be use
2. some say no sugar while others say 2 teaspoons on some days like 1-7.
3.in some they say eat as much as u like and some give you in portions.
There’s nothing that we don’t eat that on the diet bt im just worried abt the salt, sugar and EAMAYL issue because Im just not sure how will affect the whole diet and us loosing weight.

Hi, I am 50 and need to lose about 10 kilos. Started the diet a week ago, now on day 7. Lost 2 and a half kilos, so far, although I stuck to the diet strictly, bit disappointing, but hoping to stick to it. Haai bo! Nozibone, please say you are joking! You can’t put an 8year old on a diet, EVER! Just monitor what she is eating and cut out the following foods from her daily diet:
1. white bread or rolls, cakes, biscuits, etc.
2. Sugar as in sweets, chocolate
3. Processed foods e.g. Viennas, polony, burgers, anything that is not natural
4. Avoid giving her Sugary and fizzy drinks
TRY TO GIVE HER THESE:
1. Vegetables and fruit ( be careful fruit can have too much sugar)
2. Whole wheat or brown bread
3. Cheese
4. Chicken, turkey, little beef
5. Lots of water – bottled unflavoured sparkling water could delude her to think it’s nice.
Take up sports with her e.g. swimming and tennis, and walk a lot together make it fun so she doesn’t feel your frustrations.
I believe you can give her treats from time to time e.g. ice cream, McDonald’s but it should not be a daily or weekly thing. All the best! It would help if you also did not keep these foods in the house.

Hi all, I started 06/01/2014 on this and it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I have learned a trick to keep the hunger pangs at bay besides drinking water. I split my meals into 5 smaller meals… It works for me when I want to nible whilst preparing delicious meals for my family 🙂
Day 2 was hard coz I had a doctor’s appointment and could not eat but only drank water.
I weighed myself this morning and the results:

Muscle: 54%
Weight lost: 2.1kg

did this diet 2 years ago and lost weight, I’m on day three, I weighed 74 kg before I started. We’ll let you know on day 13. Feeling good already.
Day 4 and 2kg down. Not too difficult to follow, but you have to be very disciplined. Stick to the diet exactly as they say. Some of the food combinations are really weird, but its grouped like that for a reason and hey, its only for 13 days then its over and hopefully the results will equal the effort! Good luck to all.

To everybody out there trying or wanting to try this diet, DO IT – IT IS WORTH IT!! I am on day 6 and I have already lost 5.9kg and feeling great – not tired or hungry. I think the secret to this diet is mindset, willpower, positivity and water. Remeber that you have to atleast drink 2liters of water a day – i aim for 4liters. I trully believe that the amount of water you consume makes a difference.

I just thought i should share with you all.
I recently lost my father last month, he was diagnosed with Diebetic and my GP told me last year if i do not lose weight soon in 5 years time i will be diebetic, so that why i want to shed all the fats that i have.
Am on day 11 today and am so proud of my self, only 2more days to go.
I weighed 156.6kg, Hips 63cm , arms 24cm, waist 52cm on 16/02/2014 when i started my diet
i weighed my self again on day 8, was so happy when the scale stop at 145.3kg, its still a long way to go but am happy. I walk every afternoon , do Taebo in the mornings and am sure after this diet i will be very discipline, it taught me some few tricks about food and the mindset.
I want to weigh under 90kg by the end of the year.

Hi there. I did this diet 6 years ago the 1st I lost a total of 13 its. It really works but rem it’s a chemically based diet. The certain foods here are specific for a reaction in your metabolism. ANYTHIN not on the menu will influence it negatively. I’m doin it now again on day 5, I’ve lost 4 kg. There are slight differences tho to the one I have, mine says rye bread not whole wheat, and also swiss cheese not normal cheese. And only citrus fruit with low fat plain yoghurt. Try to drink warm water. It’s not good to do this diet alot. If u do it to often ur body will reject it. Also rem it works especially well if u have excess fat, the more u have to loose the more u will loose. VERY STRICT EVERYTHING ON IT IS THERE FOR A REASON, DONT SUBSTITUTE GOOD LUCK
I would also not recommend fuming on this diet also strictly no alcohol. Not even whiskey and water. It’s not the sugar but the alcohol itself

I just wanted to tell you that i have been on this diet for a couple of days, feeling a little weak but I have lost alot of weight. I was 85 kgs when i started will let you know how much i weigh after day 13. so far i can fit in my size 10 pants (GOOD BYE SIZE 14!!) I didn’t have the bread and didn’t eat as much a i wanted because i figured it will defeat the purpose.
Your style is unique compared to other folks I have read stuff from.

So i’ve noticed some KEY questions just not being answered (which is rather disppointing because they make up almost 10-15% of people’s concerns):
1) Substituting steak or ham! – a lot of people have dietary restrictions such as unable to eat beef or pork. It would be really helpful if someone please answer this question. Because it means this diet is not aimed for a large population of people.
2) Substituting black coffee – firstly, the idea of coffee is very interesting. Caffeine-based drinks are usually not advisable during diets, so why is it allowed in this one? Secondly, why has the question of substitution not been answered? What if people prefer tea or herbal teas? would these not be better?
3) the quantities are very vague – I could potentially eat a 1kg steak…is that allowed? Giving more precise quantities would help standardise this diet.
Sexydiet, i’m asking you to NOT ignore this message as it highlights a lot of unanswered messages above and people who are really desperate to start this diet as waiting (including myself).
Hi. Sorry, I didn’t really have time for my blog lately. Sorry, no substituting steak/ham/coffee etc. This can mess up the entire goal to speed up your metabolism. Eat a normal/sensible quantity, 200-300grams of steak. If you can’t eat what’s specified, then do not follow this diet. Thanks 🙂

Hi, i started with diet and i am now on day 4…… i got this diet from a friend and i did not know that with green salad it should just be Lettuce and cucumber, hence i have put on tomatoes and green and red peppers. i also did not know of the method we should use to grill steak because on Sunday i marinated my steak, put on spice and salt and placed it on the oven. HI I WANT TO START THE DIET,PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ITS OK IF I TAKE WATER THROUGH OUT THE DAY PLEASE
Although there are many variations to this diet, it all works the same. I have tried three of these variations within the past 3 years and found the following:
– I have lost between 5 to 10kg each time.
– Day 4 and day 5, I experience bad headaches (due to the detoxing of this diet)
– By Day 10, I feel weak but mentally strong
– I follow an exercise routine and noticed my energy levels fluctuate alot.
– My immune system has become stronger.
– My body fat reduces and I loose centimeters around my waist.
– I found drinking sodawater or sparkling water with squeezed lemon, easier to consume than still bottled water.
– I substituted ham with chicken the third time round and still had the same results.
I figure that as long as you stay within the rules of this diet, not eating anything else other than what is recommended, substitution (within reason) shouldn’t affect the outcome of this diet.
